Baking is my passion and meditation at the same time.
It’s my time to be alone, present at the moment, time to be here and now. It’s a time when my phone is on mute, my senses are fully involved and my hands enjoy the feeling of the texture. The smell of a fresh loaf of Sourdough, the crisp and melting sensation of Laskonka (Slovak-style macarons), the comfort of sweet yeasted dough Koláč – all of that is pure joy and happiness to me.
Every week I bake for my family and friends a few loafs of bread, sweet yeasted pastries and traditional cakes. On weekends we gather around the table and enjoy Slovak-style breakfast. Here and there I fly away and create more sophisticated cakes desserts for celebrations and special occasions
Weekly Box of Baked Joy – Park City Only
Each week I bake some extra treats, pastries, breads and cakes for those with dainty tooth who’d like to try a piece of Eastern European tradition. Each week it’s something different, something new – four or five varieties, two of each kind.
